Blade Trilogy.

Going back watching my favorite of the films, Blade 2, I just really miss the series and wish they would come back with another film. The alternate ending from the third show the night stalkers taking down a vampire in Japan.

Here are some of the reasons why I consider Blade 2 the best out of the entire Trilogy:

1) Guillermo Del Toro, did a great job with the direction, making it creepy and fun at the same time.

2) The action, fight sequences, and gore are amped up and touch notch and not so overly done.

3) The creatures are badass and gives Blade a real challenge, not like the other who he could just slice in half and turn them into smoke, ashes, and bones, these guys could rehabilitate quickly, taking silver and garlic, only defeated by the sun (which is bad considering they only come out at night)

4) The badass fighting scenes, with some fucking awesome combat moves.

5) Then it was high flying as well, with people jumping ten feet in the air to deliver kicks, and flying into the air when they get kicked.

I could go on, but Blade 2 wasn't just a standard horror film, it brought on something new and refreshing, and I want to see one just like it.

Could they just get another actor, like Michael Jai White, to star as Blade so that we could have something to actually look forward to as the years come, without having it remade or with the usage of 3-D?

8/10 for the first, 9.5/10 for the second, and 7/10 for the third.

I've only seen the first two movies I think. I don't even want to see the third as I didn't like the movies that much. Entertaining but clearly no more.

I don't want vampires to go in night clubs (even to kill people for I don't want to hear such shitty music!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I don't want them to use swords or axes or even fire weapons. I'd rather see vampires biting people and killing them in a more traditionnal way.

Wow, awesome Prince. I totally agree with your ratings. Blade II is my favourite of the three. I love the nightclub scene..and Whistler is so fuckin awesome.

and how baddass is Abby's bow and arrow?! I want one..

First is probably my fav. of the three, mostly because it was such a badass flick a had a huge impact on me when I saw it for the first time in da theaters. The second was better in terms of action though. The third had its moments, but it still wasn't a very good film

first was good, love the second, hated the third with a passion. So stupid and unneccesary. Hey we're gonna bring Whistler back to life and kill him again. So stupid. And the alternate ending to the book of Blade Trinity was much better. Had the nightstalkers hunting werewolves.

The first was my fav cuz it set the tone. I really didn't like the 3rd other than how damn funny Ryan Reynolds was.

True, but I think Nomak is just a little more badass than he is. Both considering the circumstances of him having a little more personality and development than nomak, I agree.

The first Blade rules supreme. The second one was decent enough and the last part was pretty awful, for having a Dracula with a Predator mouth, the wrestler HHH as a vampire, etc.

I like them all in each of there own certain ways i guess, the first one was pretty sweet and the second was pretty good and i kinda actually liked most of the third film too. I actually looked at the blu-ray at the mall earlier today when i went there to eat at cheesecake factory it was on sale for $14.99 but i didn't get it maybe later.

The first Blade was the best by far, it had the most action, and Blade was at his most ruthless.. He hated all vampires with no exceptions and was very quick, and brutal in dispatching them. Stephen Dorff played and excellent villian, and I like the disintegration effects much better than the ashing effects of the 2nd film. Not to mention the cool bloody explosion, from the super serum. Really great pacing and characters throughout.

The 2nd film was a big let down, Del Toro completely changed the Blade character and worked in yet another POS love story. But instead of it being believable, with him liking a human, he decided to bastardize Blade, and make him fall for what he hates, a vampire. The true Blade from the first wouldn't have given two shits about her, he also wouldn't waste his time talking so much. The action choreography was much worse here as well, going so far as to include ridiculous WWE wrestling moves. So not only do you have a neutered Blade, you have a non-nonsensical love angle, and a weaker villain than Frost. No way Blade would have any trouble with Nomack if he could kill La Margra Frost. The power level of Frost was so much higher than Nomacks. The Bloodpack or whoever they were also sucked, and magically bringing Whistler back to life when he clearly died in the first was pathetic.

The third film returned Blade to a more true to self form, but had awful pacing, and a worse cast. That main chick and a pretty boy dracula, decked out in Fag Swag didn't help things either. Biel and Blade were good, but the rest of it was pretty weak.

Overall i'd rank them in order but, the first is much better than either of the watered down sequels.
