Looks aight. Good psychological horrors are hard to come by these days.

Not really into psychological horror, but will give this a watch since Carpenter is the man.

Yeah, I'll be watching it based on Carpenter directing.. not sure until I see it what my opinion will be.... although, the ghost is reminiscent of The Grudge (The SMG version, not Japanese)

Casting full of young hotties. The script looks interesting with action taking place ib the psychiatric ward and dealing with madness, ghosts and so on. Waiting for its release here impatiently.

Carpenter hasn't had a prime in a few decades, but he gets the pass because of his older work. Much like Romero, except his films arent as bad as Romero's latest

Carpenter hasn't made a good movie in a long time, but I'm keeping the hope alive because I thought his MOH episode Cigarette Burns was the best of the whole series. So he might still have a couple good flicks in him.

You can tell by the cast that it's not his old style, it's new school.

Genuine question - how do you think the cast will affect his directing?

Well lets see, the last time he used this kind of casting was in Ghosts of Mars, and how did that work out

I always liked that he used the usual suspects in his movies... same actors/crew etc...

He never went for statuesque in the old days, but now he does, and his product suffers heavily for it. Carpenter has never been a style over substance director, but now he's going that route, just can't see it turning tout well.

Argento was always style over substance in contrast, but is also declining, Giallo was very bad.

That's true... the past was about making films with substance rather than films that would make money....

And as you pointed out, when he is concerned with other things, like making money, the film bombs, and there is no money made!! Ironic...

Sure the cast is not what it used to be 30 years ago in a way but he's directing stars though. Kristen Stewart is not part of the movie for example and Lyndsy Fonseca is far from being a star or considered as a major actress. He may end up doing a good movie.
