I usually go to Musicbox Massacre. I met Bill Hinzman/Michael Doherty on different occasions and both were awesome guys. I went to the Midwest Premiere of Trick 'R Treat when I met Michael and usually a few times a year they'll do 24 hour horror festivals, but I have never went to those yet. I just go to little chicago ones from time to time. There is actually a Sci-Fi one coming up in March, but I don't know if I'm going to go. I really want to learn more about the bigger events as I would go in a heart beat, but I don't know what to look for.

EDIT: Actually, Flashback weekend is coming in August and Mr. Englund will be there. No tickets have been announced yet, but Doug Bradley and Robert Endlund are going to be there, idk if that will be enough for me to go though

Ok so I just read a review for Horror Hound wknd 2010 and some guy spent $175 on 2 autographs(?!) ..I gotta ask..is this normal? Now I dont know whose autograph it was but damn.. anybody know? Oh and frightee, I would like to buy a shirt for the occaision..do have 3XL?

The celebs set the price for their autographs, most are $20 and you get a free pic with them. Some (like Gary Busey) charge more AND charge for the pic seperate.

There are also someimtes packages that people can buy (which is what that guy sounds like he did) For instance at a Chiller Theatre I went to Patrick Stewart was charging $30 for an auto and there was a $90 package that got you a meet-and-greet, an auto, and an 8x10 pic of you and him also signed by him.

Course I didnt do any of that shit because Star Trek is lame

these people only do conventions for $$...I'm sure they like meeting their fans and if you ever met them outside of a convention setting 90% of them would sign anything you ask them to. This is why I don't get just any auto...only ones from people/movies that I really admire
