Cannibal Holocaust Re-cut/remake/re-do?

I was talking to a guy who works at the local Movie Stop and he mentioned something about an updated Cannibal Holocaust? A British version of sorts? Can anyone confirm or deny this? He said he had a copy coming into the store soon, but i literally had no idea wtf he was talking about, unless i missed something, granted i've been over seas and computer-less for awhile, but can anyone fill me in? Fright and Steelba, this is directed at you fellas! haha

Dude the movie is a piece of shit. It has some cool makeup effects in the end, but boring beyond belief. The subs are annoying as shit too.

Why to see a few animals die and have people claim it is one of the most gutsy films of all time? Uh no. I own the special Grindhouse release and have watched it numerous times. It gets more and more boring every time I watch it. Halcon is not missing much.

Wow, really? Frankly, I am astonished by all the negative feedback here. I guess you hafta look at it beyond the horror aspect. Like, if you look at it as a clash of cultures and moral beliefs, there's more appreciation for it.

It is a bad movie, but I would have to agree with Rusted. Things like that have happened and are still happening today. Some cultures think they are better than others, and try to force their beliefs on others. Although this movie just had a few people, it still shows that they had no respect for the native culture, because they thought they were more intelligent and the natives were savages. So it's disturbing in the aspect that they thought they could get away with burning the huts and harrassing the natives.

Yea, that's why I refuse to watch it. I'm a BIG animal lover.
