I will be totally honest...I didn't even give the movie the time of day. DOOM was a great game, and then I saw the previews and such for the "movie", read how they changed the story line...and just said "no". F that mess.

Karl Urban is an Angst God. I dont know if the protagonist from the game was that angsty (never played it) but if he was, they have to bring Karl back.

The only reason I couldnt take the first Doom seriously was the Rock.
Oh my god did he make me laugh. His "I am dead serious" face is so quizzical, I giggle every time I see it.
Also the random-ass gamer POV bit was misplaced. I really loved the concept of it, and to be honest the overall execution is better than anticipated for that one scene, but it didn't have the right build up or anything. Maybe if the movie started that way and dissolved into the live-action, it would not only be smoother but make for a more interesting viewing experience overall.

I also usually hate the films from Uwe Boll but I must admit that his film "Rampage" was pretty decent, pretty decent ... Rather, it was good.

That's because that man is full of bullshit with his movies "based-on" video games. He's said himself that he doesn't really care for the gamer, as they're not the majority of the movie-goers. The movie goers want mainstream.

I play me some WoW, so I LOVED when Blizzard pretty much told Uwe Boll to go fuck himself when he approached them to make a World of Warcraft movie.

Right now, Sam Raimi is rumored to be the director of that one =)

As for a re-boot, as this game has potentual to make a great movie I say go for it. Remember watching the first one thinking how the fuck can you fuck this thing up.

If and when WoW gets made I can imagine they would need to do something like the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Could be wrong as I never played the game.
