Has anyone seen this movie yet and if so did you like it. I caught the trailer while passing the TV just before and it looks pretty decent. But then again these could have been the best parts so....

there was to much CGI in the trailer for me. I hate CG in general but especially in a movie thats actually trying to scare you, and they acted like this was suppose to be scary. But I'll netflix it cuz I do love Anthony Hopkins.

There wasn't that much CGI in the movie..

But I do hate in exorcism movies when they are acting weird. They'll bend their neck and fingers back. I just hate that. It's so stupid that they can just break their back or neck.

Yes Hopkins was good...he usually is. I just thought it centered on the priest a lil too much, and they threw that girl in there for no apparent reason except eye candy I'm assuming because her part wasn't really relevant. Things like that usually take away from the movie for me personally.

watched it last night, and while it was slow I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Hopkins is great as always. If you dont mind a slow pace you should deffinatly watch this.

I love Anthony Hopkins. Sounds like quite a few of you enjoyed it. I don't mind a slow pace as long as it's going somewhere. I'll have to rent it.

The Rite was about average, in my opinion. I liked it but it felt like it was missing something. I've only seen it once, when it was in theaters, so who knows, maybe it'll grow on me after watching it a couple more times.

Assuming that it is almost impossible to make a movie about exorcisms without taking elements of the classic "The Exorcist," back in 73, I will say that in this case has been "robbed" but without achieving this atmosphere so dense and special.
Anyway, the final product of "The Rite" is acceptable and accomplished entertain.
It has good moments but the creativity did not reach and they had to dip into a master like Anthony Hopkins in the lead role to save the movie.

I'm not a big fan of exorcist movies. I wasn't excited about watching it, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's one of those movies that you should watch if you have the time, but I wouldn't go out of my way to put in at the top of my list to watch. Mediocre at best.
