I'm digging the new track. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it sounds like it should have been on RtL, like others are saying, but it's still a good tune.

It's getting decent love, and some hate.
Some people just refuse to like anything they do these days though. I mean it's nothing mind blowing.. But it i a pretty sick tune. Lyrics aren't the best, but it's catchy. Plus, I love the solo in it.. That's fucking awesome.

Yeah Metallica gets too much hate unfortunately. Back at my old job, when Death Magnetic came out, I liked it a lot and most of the guys I worked with were hating on it. Most of them are mindless idiots who like to hate on Metallica/

Death Magnetic is every bit as fast and hard as their old stuff. You're an idiot if you don't think so, in-fact, some of the solo's in that are tenfold the pace of ones one the first 4 albums. It's just because it's new Metallica, so, people hate it. I even know people (who love the first 4 albums) who actually refuse to even listen to DM... Even after I've told them 100's of times it's trash... I mean, they're fucking idiots.
I have zero doubt in my mind if DM came out after, or before Justice it would be absolutely loved.

I personally think the solo in All Nightmare Long is a masterpiece. How it sounds with the rest of the instruments gives me goosebumps every time. Death Magnetic may not have been as thrashy as 80's Metallica, but these guys are in their 50's now. Cut them some fucking slack. It's great for their age. Obviously they are no Overkill, who has been putting out music like they are still in the 80's, but my god..Metallica still fucking jams and continues to be my favorite band ever.

This is a great lead single from the new album. A fantastic video as well. I wasn't a fan of their first two albums as I can't get into those kinds of harsher vocals but I've been a fan since Blood Mountain when they started employing vocals that are more melodic.Some new Mastodon and Misery Index
