Agree with some of it but not really "scary", Just great Horror scenes!

The sad thing is a horror film has not scared me in years either. Some may have left me unsettled a bit (such as a gruesome rape scene, etc.) but to scare me? No. I have watched so many now that it just doesn't even have an affect on me. Does that make me demented? HA HA. People who watch them with me are the ones to jump and I just sit there entranced. In fact, I guess I just get the humor in a lot of them as well so laugh far more then I have screamed. "Requiem for a Dream" I guess scared me from drugs. Does that count? I am so making my future children watch that movie so they never touch the shit...Question is, do I show the edited or full version of that movie? Muwhahaha.

Thats what I've always wondered when I don't jump like the scared freaks at the theatre. If there is a crazy scene thats a damn good freak out, For Example, The Last Exorcism had a pretty good one, They usually jump and scream but for me I just get an extreme sensation in my body..........If thats not demented then what the fuck is!

I believe this is showing now in Australia so will try and catch.
As for the screaming and other aspects of over-reacting....NEVER. WTF is that pos all about. From watching people's reactions you can pick who the real diehards are, they dig the scenes, not get all lilly-livered over them and piss themselves.
I get that thing superbeast mentioned but don't feel the need to vocalize it!

Totally fucking agree with ya there Splat but you know they can't be like us. Actually, The only time I've moved in my seat from something was because the fucking noise they used to try and get a cheap thrill was so fucking loud that I was ready to knock the speakers out. You ever notice that though, They sometimes turn up the sound to get a bigger reaction out of people at the so called "scare scene", It works for the wimps but for me it just pisses me off, Especially if the scene sucked.

I was watching 'Splinter' a little while ago and felt this was some pretty fucked up shit. Sent shivers down my spine. An organism that gets inside of you and shapes you to it's own end by snapping bones etc. Plus the splinters coming out....fucking felt that

Open Water..the realism is what got me here. I found it so hard to watch towards the end. My only true crippling fear has always been deep, dark water.

I don't really get scared that much, but my girlfriend is a different story. I watched the original Halloween with her and she was scared out of her mind. She really thought Myers was out to get her,but she was happy to remember that Myers only comes out during Halloween. She has one huge imaginiation. :p
