Not really.....just her verus her mind...which is kind of weird. She knows for a fact he's not real, but I guess it's the thought.

The trailer for Contagion has scared me more than any horror movie since I was a kid.

The movie didn't bore me, but I was pretty disappointed in it as well. I think it got way too over-hyped. Hence my disappointment. I have to stop listening to other people's views especially on ones so highly rated because I end up not feeling nearly the same.

Totally agree with you there. Like in 'The Reef' with the underwater shots, the sections where it is obviously deep, open water kinda fucked with me

Some parts of Insidious creeped me out and jolted me big time. Other than that, no movie has really scared me lately.

For me, which i mentioned on another, thread Lake Mungo which i watched the other week really creeped me out. I found it unsettling throughout but one bit in particular i have to admit unnerved me. Insidious had a few moments that were pretty creepy also.

One that always unnerves me is Jacob's Ladder. I'm so desensitized these days that most of the effects are pretty cool rather than scary, but the thing that gets me is when he is in that awful hospital talking to his first wife and his kids about wanting to go home and that voice says "Dream on." It's such a cold, mean voice, and you think the camera will pan to show you what it is but it never does. Imagining who or what said it is worse than seeing it, and I will be bothered by that while trying to sleep after a watch.

You should, and then you should listen to the commentary to figure out what all is going on. (That's what I had to do). Because it is confusing, but very good once all the pieces fall into place.

I don't get spooked by slashers or fear zombe/werewolf/vampire flicks anymore but there shall forever be moments in films that make me jump.
Paranormal Entity gave me shivers with the bell scene, The End Of The Line gave me palpitations in the first five minutes when the girl looks at the passengers, compares it to the picture, casually glances back at the train occupants, raises the picture up and down and then BAM!!! I can honestly say I jumped out of my skin at that one.
Haute Tension was genuinely scary during the home invasion sequence and death by sideboard =
Insidious had its moments, especially the shot of the red demon thingy looming over the babies cot.
The only thing that scares me these days are ghosts and jump scares.
I wish I was a little kid again, I used to get chilled to the bone merely from posters of films, I'm on an eternal quest to relive that primal fear but I know I'll never get it back. I love nothing more than kicking back to a good horror film but I know I'll never effectuate my primal feeling again.
    I'll never stop trying though...

I was a big puss when I was a kid. The voice from Unsolved Mysteries would scare me. Now nothing seems to scare me except movies that are more realistic, but even those don't seem to do the trick anymore.

I was such a precious child, the shadows on my bookshef used to terrify me when I was younger.
I don't know whether all horror fanatics are (like me) striving to reconstruct that fear level but I was a proper coward as a young kid. My parents house backed onto a park and the sound of the wind whistling through the trees is a memory I'll take to the grave.
One of my earliest memories is being scared stiff when I was at my uncles house and a Hammer Horror film just happened to be on in their lounge - I stood, transfixed to the spot and scared out of my wits until my cousin entered the room. I was also afraid of the dark and I'm forevermore on an inner pilgrimage to reproduce that level of terror
I wonder if todays horror fans were the scared children of yesteryear because I definitely was.

I recently saw "Alice, Sweet Alice", and I wouldn't say it was really scary, but that scene early on in the warehouse really startled me. I had to rewind like, three times to get over it. Witchy bitch...
