A while back I re-posted old reviews I did on the board for Azn flicks that I enjoyed. Unfortunately, all the posts in the Foreign section were mistakenly deleted at one point during some routine maintenance. I thought I'd post the old reviews I did once again (courtesy of waybackmachine), which may prove useful for people who may not've seen these flicks. Enjoy

Well I checked this Korean comedy/drama and found it to be surprisingly good. In fact, I liked it so much that I searched for it online for purchase. It turns out that the movie apparently isn't being distributed anymore (or at least seems that way) because most sites I checked said it was out-of-print. It doesn't surprise me since it's a good and seemingly unheard of flick. I'm sure if it was in more demand that there would be more discs being made, but what do I know?
Anyway, the movie is basically about two guys, who were the total opposite in high school, meeting up later in life where they've turned out to be entirely different than they were thought as back in the day. The nerdy guy in high school is now the leader of the Korean mafia, while the tough guy in school, who never studied, turned out to be a teacher.
They meet one day and go out for drinks, but later end up having to help one of the teacher's students get out of jail after he got into a fight. The two meet the student's older sister, who owns a ramen shop, and they end up falling for the chick, which leads to an interesting and humoress love-triangle.
There's more to the story than that, but that's the jist of it. The movie also focuses on the young student and how he wants to be a part of the Korean mafia, but the teacher wont let him for obvious reasons. The funny thing is the leader of the gang tells the student that if he studies hard that he can join, but the teacher tells the student not to study since he knows it'll just lead him to join the gang, so we're introduced to more humoures sequences.
The movie opens with a huge ass fight between two high schools, which is also a key point to the story later on since it's told through the next school generation as the "legendary fight". While watching it I noticed some similarities to another Korean comedy I saw a while back called Attack the Gas Station. I checked up on this flick and it turns out that the same director of Attack is the same guy behind this flick!
The movie has a lot of excellent violence, especially towards the end, mixed with some humor and, of course, drama. It's a nice blend in my opinion, and while I'm sure some may disagree with my opinion, but I really enjoyed this flick and thought it was equal-to, if not, better than Attack the Gas Station, which I also enjoyed. 7/10 (was an 8/10 in my original review).
