What happened to these films? The first two where good, first one being by far the best but the sequels ot worse and worse. Im surprised there hasnt been another sequel announced or a reboot. Any fans/haters?

Agree, loved the first film.

Used to love the second as well until I watched it a few weeks ago, did nothing for me. Has some good ideas but felt tacked together.

The only other one I have seen is the third, but that is when it was first released for rental. Can remember not really getting into it. Will watch again though before giving my final judgement. As for the forth and fifth films, I now someone here who likes the forth but feels the fifth one is shit.

2 is a childhood favorite and has some good 80s cheese
3 is decent with awesome effects (also the chick is hot)
4 is watchable but doesnt follow the "rules" of the other films which bothers me but it's better than the House of the Deads

im surprised that its gone so long with out any new sequels. I think it could for once, be a good chance to make a good sequel esp with now zombies being ''in'' again haha

the last 2 movies came out like 4 or 5 years ago...they were flops so I doubt we'll see any new ones for quite a few years

I think they where, they had a very scifi feel to them. I think sooner or later theyll be a sequel on the way..well i hope as long as its not like last couple it should be OK. There wasnt much consistensy between the movies, besides whats his face..oil face zombie?

4 and 5 seem like they were made for the SciFi channel with how bad they were. I remember when they came out and they kept playing them back to back on the channel. I also remember one ripping a lot off from resident Evil and doing it very badly, but that was 2005.

I think the first was great, the second I loved also as it was more light hearted with the recurring actors in different characters (and also a brief appearance of mitch pillegi as a soldier) and I think if they made a 3rd in a similar style it wouldnt have been that bad. They could have just had unconnected stories but perhaps it would have been too late, the 80s ended and no one cared for schlock?

The 2nd was basically a remake or re-imagining, 3rd was ok, just not good. First is where it's at.

first was great, I own that one. Second one was worth viewing but its kind of a spoof. I wish they'd remake the first one honestly just because A. I miss the Tarman and B. I miss these kinds of zombies. Really fucked up, barely look human, very decayed and actually crawl out of the graves. Zombies don't do that anymore. Now zombies are just people with blood on their faces and weird lookin eyes. I miss em old school.

i think the fact it came out in a certain era made it awesome too, the sound track was awesome. Though it can be remade, and yes the zombie comingout of the grave is awesome..i do miss that. the new bio zombie seems more believable,but who cares bout believable its zombies !

First is one of my fav. horror flicks. Second is fun, but stupid. Third is decent. Fourth was actually surprisingly okay, though, still not a good movie. Five was just a cash-in and went an entirely different direction.

still, disappointing that the first is only liked by fans mostly i guess it is a cult film after all. I think its one of those overlooked gems.
