    Prey 2

The first Prey was a bit of an underrated game that seemed to go under the radar for most people, but it was a surprisingly entertaining and creative FPS, especially with the use of creating portals/rips to travel through and walking on walls and ceilings, both of which weren't seen much in FPS at the time it came out.

Apparently a sequel has been in development for some time and will be coming out in 2012. From the interview below, it seems like it will be going for more of an open world, RPG-type theme. I'm excited to see what the creators have in stored for us this time 'round.

Looks like all the old videos I posted no longer work, but here's an updated look at the game, which appears to be completely different than what was shown in the past anyway

It also seems to be more of a reboot than a sequel

It looks really good. I remember playing through the original. The opening to that game was mind-blowing for way back then.

I'm hoping this game has cool gameplay mechanics like the first did with the portals and switching of the rooms/ceilings and such

The devs must be pretty confident in the game, because they're releasing an hour demo next week

I really like the variety of weapons and gadgets that you'll get to play with in the game

Finally got around to beating this earlier after a good 34+ hours. I was actually surprised it lasted as long as it did, but I tried to do as much side stuff as I could and played it on Hard mode to possibly lengthen my playthough.

I loved the game overall; it was a bit challenging at first with all these different creatures and you feel a bit overwhelmed at times, but once you progress and get more stuff and upgrade more, eventually you start to feel overpowered a little. I only have a few complaints:

One being the glue gun wasn't as effective as it should have been. You should be able to always stack, but it didn't always work.

Another is there's really not a whole lot of incentive to do some of these side quests. Aside from maybe leading you to some extra items or maybe unlocking a little more to the story, but unless you're a completionist looking for trophies there's no real big incentive to do some of the side stuff.

Lastly the story isn't as thick as it could've been. There's a decent story here and a lot of it is played out by the characters you encounter, but by the end and especially the ending it's somewhat of a let down.

Aside from that I had a lot of fun with the game and am hoping they will do another one, but at the moment there is some minor replay value. Next to trophies, I can simply play out as more of an asshole and kill everyone if I want. Actually I think there might even be a trophy for that. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend this game for someone looking for a fun FPS. 8/10

I know I'm probably the only one that likes this game, but apparently there's a new DLC for it
