I just finished it and it was just plain awesome its a great film loved the old school blood and gore when people got shot really cool easily 9/10 maybe higher rating.

There isn't even a release date yet for Thailand. I don't know when it's going to come out here and I'm leaving for England for six months at the end of next month. I'm not going to pay UK prices to go see this at the cinema. I might just have to make do with downloading the torrent of the screener.

You should treat yourself a trip to the cinema as soon as you hit the UK. It looks like one of those big screen type of films.

I hope that it will come out before I leave. I plan to spend six months here in Thailand and six months in England every year until I can afford to stay here full-time and visit my family for a month every year. When I go to the UK for six months, it’s to see my family and save money to get back out here. Therefore, I will be doing just that when I’m there.

Quentin Tarantino blasting a reporter in an interview when asked about a correlation between movie and real violence, pretty amusing, good for QT.

Fucking hell, did you lot see the same film I did? I doubt it, because what I just witnessed was yet another juvenile cartoon by the perennially adolescent and thick as two short planks crowd pleaser Tarantino. However this time he manages to make it a racist cartoon, as well. Very, very rasseest indeed but that's kewl man cos it's a Tarantino flick. It's okay, it's fine to say nigger a thousand times cos Tarantino is the man, oops, I mean da man, how very unghetto of me. How is it racist? Tarantino plays out a macho fantasy game by featuring a strong though implausible African American protagonist and yet spreads the word nigger liberally throughout the film. Perhaps that's integral though as it's a period piece (haha, replete with snow-capped mountains in the deep south) and perhaps every other word has to be nigger to capture the place and time, which is prolly why the soundtrack consists of nineties rap music? But fuck it, it's Tarantino and he's the messiah right. The racial attitudes were spot on cos this is a Tarantino flick and I totally believed that Django would be afforded a seat at "the big house" and that Samuel L. Jackson's 'Stephen' character would loom over his massir's head throughout the dinner party because it's Tarantino man and QT is God.
Tarantino is my hero and the slo-mo splashy ketchup shots of the nigger boy (it's okay, I can say it cos Tarantino does) hiding behind a prop dummy full of spaghetti sauce as gunsmoke fills the air and the Rza pollutes the fucking soundtrack with deeply inappropriate bars is the greatest and most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

I hope this film sweeps the board at the Oscars.

Well I guess rap/hip hop or whatever the fuck you want to call it just didn't fit in for me in what is essentially a tribute to Spaghetti Westerns. Just threw me off completely. But in stating this I am sure when I watch it, as quite frankly I do not live in a cupboard, I may just like it Everything else of his has been good... pirate smilie :pirate:

There's a lot more Ennio Morricone than rap music on the soundtrack, if that's really putting you off.

Watched it last night, absolutely phenomenal. Samuel L. Jackson blew it out of the water, maybe his best performance. I can't wait to watch it again.

As for the music, it was perfect for Tarantino's style. The rap in the movie was well placed into the super violent scenes and the epic western style music was in the riding and "outdoorsy" scenes.
