HELP!!!

Okay, this ones being driving me crazy for a while. I remember watching it a long time ago, I think in the 80's. All I can remember about it is this.

It takes place in the jungle.
There are creatures that eat people.
At the end of the movie, the creatures are attacking the village that the hero and his girl are in. They escape in a helicopter and just when they think that they're going to make it a creature jumps out from the back of the copter.

That's it, that's all I can remember. Can anyone help me out?
