Before there was Wanted, The Losers, Red, and Kick-ass (the movie), there was Shoot Em' Up.
This has to be one of the coolest movies that I have ever seen. The gun fights are top-notch, well choreographed, and bloody. The movie is full of those gun-fights and action all the way through, and I think it was the first movie to ever have two people having sex while gunfighting.
The movie is simple, with the only plot I see the film having is that of a man trying to save a child from being killed by ruthless gunmen, and even though the characterization is lacking, Owen and Giamatti hold it down as Hero against Villain. I also liked the look of the film, with it's use of colors, lightening and such.
I say that this is a good bloody fun film that I think everyone will enjoy, that's if you are into these simple bloody full of action types of films. It definitely doesn't take itself too seriously neither. 8/10, I know this is kinda high, but I feel that it was the film that actually kinda inspired those above, even if they were comic books before they were movies.
Coming to think about it, was this a comic book before it was a film? Did you guys like this as much as I did.
