I remember back when Hostel first came out a ton of people I knew were posting shit like "Man, Hostile sucks ass. Don't bother!"...These were completely SOBER people misspelling the name of a movie they had just watched. Hell, even if they downloaded it, burned it, and wrote the wrong title on the disc, they would still see the fucking opening credits. Some people I tell ya.

As far as Wolf Creek goes though, I liked the movie, I own it, but it's not something I find myself thinking of immediately when thinking of what I should watch. It's definitely far better than a lot that is out there, and it does play into some people's worst fears about being far away from home, with no way to call for help, being stalked by a perfect stranger.

I felt it was better than other films of its ilk because it doesn't play up the idea that the setting (Australia in this case) is some backwards, collapsed mess of a country to be avoided by civilized people, at least not to the extent that films like Hostel do. Sure the Outback is harsh, but it's a desert, they aren't ice cream and puppy dogs even without crazed killers wandering about.

Yeah, I'd be more worried about it being filled with the most deadly spiders, snakes and crocs in both salt and fresh water. It's the most killingest place on Earth even if there wasn't a single psycho killer there at all!

I like Wolf Creek a lot. Unlike many people who feel it took too long to get going, i liked the slow build up because when all the crazy shit began i feel it made it more unsettling. I also feel it made me like the characters enough to care about their plight and i was so rooting for Kristy in her scenes. id give it 7/10

I can't say I remember much about this movie. I remember it being slow, a few good scenes and that's about it. A lot of movies around this all blend together because they have very similar story lines but were all shitty.

I actually really enjoyed this film and it is part of my collection. I watch it occasionally. I personally liked the slow pacing in the beginning, because I got to know the characters and feel for them. It made me want them to live much more, knowing something about them than not. I haven't watched this in a while ... maybe I'll give it another look soon.

That place is scary in a different way. I think there's more stuff in Australia that'll kill you quick and that Amazonian stuff likes you to suffer more. I saw that episode of River Monsters where they showed the fish that'll swim up your wedding tackle if you pee in the river.

    To hell with "the bush"!

This is one of my favourites that I watch often. I met John Jarratt (Mick Taylor) at a showing of his new film Savages Crossing and had my Wolf Creek DVD signed. Great bloke.

    I think I fell asleep
That's normal considering the fact that nothing really happens until like 45 minutes or an hour after the film starts.

I like Wolf Creek alot. And I have from the first view.
I hadn't heard about it's negative rep before I saw it,
so, I watched it a completely open mind.

I believe the maker of this film has made another film I
like even better. Can't remember its name, I've just tried
to search through my DVDs, but, I can't seem to find it.
It's about a couple boating out from an Aussie town, only
to be caught in a rainstorm, and seeks shelter in an old farm.
Og course, the farm is owned by a maniac father and his two
    equally´insane sons. What's its name?!

Though this flick was great, the one huge flaw that really got me was after SPOILER the girl shoots him and he's unconscious and down, why they did not finish the job and then all would have been safe/saved is beyond me. Okay, sure, the film would have ended prematurely but that one scene keeps WC from being great instead of almost great.

I didn't like the movie itself, but I liked Mick Taylor and the actor playing him.
