My movie history goes way back. Hell I have seen some surefire piles of shit in my day, especially all through the 80's and particularly the early 90's. Based on this thread I took it upon myself to put this in my instant queue and give it a whirl over the weekend.

This is one of the only movies I have ever turned off because I couldn't take it. I'm all for mindless, b-movie, low budget, underground films but this was un-watchable. Some of these movies actually have some indication of the makers trying to put out quality but this was done in what seemed like a haphazardly mad dash to say "Hey look, I made a movie!".

I get the feeling I could take some lowlife off the street, dress him up like a clown and give him a big ass meat cleaver and come up with the same results with a tripod and camcorder, and I am no film maker. Shit, I can barely get home movies of my kids right.

Bottom line I guess if you want to watch a movie with shoddy gore effects and really enjoy stuff like that, power to ya. If you are looking for a movie with even a dash of quality and scenes with dialogue that don't make you laugh unintentionally look elsewhere. If you are afraid of clowns, give this a try...you may actually become unafraid of them. Perhaps helping with coulrophobia is this films greatest asset.

I would guess that the majority of us have a similar horror movie history and there have been a whole bunch of movies that were just so freaking terrible that I just had to shut them off. This was not one of em for me. I really enjoyed it as did a bunch of others. I'd still say people should take a shot at this as they may enjoy it as much as those of us who did like/love it. But your opinion is well received, sir.

Everyone seems to be forgetting the fact that this movie is done on a very low-budget and that it's not meant to be taken seriously.......if that was the case, I think they would have made a couple of scenes gory, using better effects, and not what we have here. Damn it's just a movie!

I think that is the problem... that the movie is done on a low budge, and is made to be taken serious. If the production company focused on a fewer effects, and put more into them, they would look better then what I see. Instead they wanted you to see as much gore as possible, even though ti looks really terrible.

If someone watches a movie about a clown with an over the top sized hatchet and wants to take it seriously they are obviously oblivious to the horror genre and may in fact simply be watching because they want something to bitch about.

Exactly, it is a movie and thus I turned it off because it is a bad movie, even for what it is. Everyone has different tastes and if people enjoy something I don't that's cool. I like to hear that actually. I know my particular taste in anything is not the "say all, be all". However in this instance...I feel I am damn close

This movie is perfect for extreme gore fans. The kill scenes were outstanding. The FX for this movie showed that Marcus Koch can hold his own by directing this film and showing us some truly twisted visuals. I really have no clue as to how they managed to put such well done special effects into this film on a small budget. They were that good. I wish you would see this film Nekro, I'm truly interested in your thoughts.

Movie looks pretty awful, but if it's still on Netflix I'll check it out. Don't expect much though. Underground horror is garbage in my opinion.
