Hello.
Well, I went to see this little flick tonight, considering the fact that it did kinda look a little creepy, but to say the least it is no more than your standard PG-13 teen fright fest.
I wouldn't call it original as Daniel's character who goes into this small town where the people dread this big spooky mansion (that is in the middle of no where of course), that is haunted by some type of malevolent prescence. Could it be monster, dracula, or some time of beast that lies within the darkness. No! It's.....the woman in black.
As said above, this is for the teenagers only, people who tend to watch horror films, such as myself and many other horror vets, won't be phased by the "boo" scares, and the things jumping out of nowhere when:
1) He looks into a dark room
2) He looks into a hole
3) When the music stops when he walks down a hallway
4) When little things run pass the screen
5) etc.......
and, to top that, the acting was okay.
Though I can say the film did have a good dark mood too it, and the woman in black was kinda creepy, but they never really showed enough of her. I liked the score, the toys, which was the scariest aspect of the movie if you ask me, and the setting. Other than that, don't waste your time and what for the dvd to come out this summer.....
