Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Holy shit...168.6 million domestic opening weekend, and a worldwide debut of 475.6 million! Add to that an overall 'A' rating from CinemaScore audiences?? So tell me, is this crap that awesome? And am I the only asshole who's never seen a Potter flick and doesn't care too?

I never got into it. I read the first 3 and saw the first 3 films. I'm more of a LotR's guy. Gandalf could fuck up all those wizards from HP.

I loved it. For a person who never really got into the books, I think the films did well on their own. The last three or four movies were great. And this last one certainly felt like what a finale should be like.

I am a huge Harry Potter fan, both the books and films. I loved the last movie.... my stomach was in a knot the entire time I was in the cinema watching it!

It has maybe the most badass dragon to hit film since Vermathrax.

Reign of Fire? Those dragons were pretty damn savage.

They were okay. But they weren't even as good as the one Harry fought a couple flicks back. They never really looked like they were there, like physical beings, in Reign of Fire, cool as they were.

Love all the potter films that I've seen. I'll watch the Deathly Hallows when I can see both parts as a bad ass marathon.

Resurrecting an old thread to just say that I finally got around to watching all the HP movies. I've always been kind of MEH about the series, especially since I didn't find the first one all that good when it came out, but I decided to revisit it recently and got around to checking the sequels. I actually found them all enjoyable to an extent. Lots of filler here and there, but for the most part it's a fun series. This last installment was probably my favorite of all the movies since it was so well paced and offered some great effects. I'd give this movie a low 8/10 while I'd rate the series as a whole a 7/10
