I think you'd be hard pressed to find any comic movie that matched the tone and story Raimi hit on the first Spiderman. It was JUST like a Spidey comic. Of course Dunst sucks there's no arguing that, but it's still one of my favorite comic movies and you can tell it was made by people that loved the comics and characters.
The simple fact that in the trailer they show Parker's parents leaving him proves to me the makers don't give a rat's ass about the early Spidey stuff since the Parkers were barely ever mentioned and really only had minor appearances in one flashback issue that explained their death.
