What is your first Horror Movie Memories?

Looking at all the covers in the horror section was what got me started. Was never aloud to rent them when I was young. I remember renting "Jason movies" and the Friday the 13th NES game when I got a little older. Also, my dad let me watch The Thing and I remember him saying "I'm warning you, this is really scary!"

For me it was the movie trailer for 'Magic' back in 78! Freaked the shit out of me sooooooo bad! Stupid puppets. Chucky's got nothing on this guy.
I was 6 yrs old!

Halloween edited to shit on Sci-Fi, October 1996, on a tiny 13" TV in my kitchen with the lights on. I was hooked after that.

Jaws when I was like 5 or 6. Mom took a vacation with her sisters to Las Vegas, so Dad rented a bunch of horror movies while she was gone. Apparently Mom had forbidden him from renting horror until me and my little bro were older.

Let's just say I went through a phase where I was afraid to take baths alone after that.
