Bobba Fett to get Spin off movie?

Captain America director Joe Johnston wants to make a movie based on Star Wars fan favorite Boba Fett. Johnston says that he is pushing for the opportunity to be involved in such a film and is talking to George Lucas, who he started out his career for as a storyboard artist, about it.

When asked about directing, Johnston said, "I would like to, it would be a lot of fun."

This could be a cool idea. X-Men style spin off films in the Star Wars universe could be a cool way of keeping the franchise going (since we obviously won't ever get the sequel trilogy).

I would not be opposed to this at all. It would be cool to see how Bobba or Jango came to be. At least a way more indepth look.

After watching the original trilogy (in their original forms BTW) this weekend I can safely say it made me realize what a waste of time George Lucas has become and how utterly terrible the newest movies are compared to them.
Also, Fett had a total of 2 lines, 2 gun shots, and died via a 3 Stooges gag...I guess he had a REALLY cool helmet

That's about how I feel about this. There really isn't too much of a need for it. More of a back story might be cool but I don't really see it justifying a big full length blockbuster movie.

im a big bobba fan. He's my favorite character actually and it always pissed me off how he died in such a bitch way. Or how streetfighter said like a 3 stooges gag. But I do always love what Robot Chicken does with it. I'd be down for a Bobba movie. Or one that takes place after the original trilogy where he finds a way out of that damn pit. I hear in book form he actually does.

Yeah the newer movies were a total waste can't argue there but you forgot that Fett's backpack has jets too which I thought was cool.

I remember in the old Marvel Star Wars comics, that Bobba survived the pit because his armor protected him from the digestion long enough for him to repair his jet-pack and escape... At the time, Lucas stated that the Marvel series was canon, but years later recanted and said that Bobba was indeed killed...

Do not care if they are making this movie or not, good chance they will fuck it up. Plus have to agree, they ARE milking this franchise for what it is worth!
