I'm a little disappointed since I learned it's found footage with shaky cam, but damn, those monsters look incredible. I'm still dying to see this.

I'm mixed on the film. The concept is very cool and so were the makeup and practical effects, but the execution is where it kinda fails, specifically it being found footage. Not that the flick should be taken seriously, but realistically the look and quality of the "found footage" is entirely too clear considering this is supposed to be set in the 40's. I didn't know cameras back then filmed in color and HDIgnoring that, it's not an entirely bad flick, and I felt it was strongest in the last 30-or-so minutes. Had it not had such cool monstrous abominations and practical effects, it would've been a pretty boring and forgettable indie flick, but that's my opinion. Will hopefully have a more detailed review posted soon.

I got through 45 minutes of it last night before passing out. So far, good effects but meh on everything else. I'll write a review for this tomorrow (along with two other reviews)

Yeah, the POV and Found Footage aspect of it kind of took away from the movie, but it was decent. I enjoyed it, and had a fairly decent time watching it.
The practical effects and monster design was well done.

Got it, watched it, dug it. Thought it was a good 6/10. The beast were pretty awesome. Great concept but could have been a little better to get a full grade.

Movie had so much potential but fell well short of it. Aside from great creature effects this movie wasn't good.
The tranquility of night hides many malevolent things taking place under a stunning, mysterious sky pocked with precious gems of light. -GP
