Finally caught the flick earlier--was alright; had its moments. CG was pretty bad and it could've used more gore, but then again that might've been what the producers cut out of the intended version of the film. Either way, I'm mixed on it. Will have a review posted soon.

See, I liked Dinklage in it but felt like he was given extra screen time as he's now the star out of the group (at the time, Ryan was poised to be the breakout star). I liked the movie a lot, but it just felt unfinished to me. CGI was good sometimes, and horrible other times. The finale was a big mess, (and according to my sources) was supposed to be much bigger.

I enjoyed this in a guilty nerdy pleasure sort of way in the same vain as the Gamers movies. It gained points for the Dinklage and Summer Glau, Zahn had some funny moments too like when he started singing the spell from the book

I wasn't aware there was so much studio drama, perhaps there is a better version out there waiting to be cut together. Think it had gotten around a 6.5 from me. Good review though.
