ive heard its big dumb stupid fun. They somehow bring a grid into it like the game and the missles the aliens shoot look like pegs from the game. That sounds extremely stupid but in a "will make me giggle" kind of way. So I think I'm gonna go catch it.

I like how you will watch this, but when it comes to a horror classic like Suspiria, you fall asleep watching it (according to the Suspiria remake thread)

I caught it Friday night and it's not as bad as i thought it would be pretty good popcorn film something to see if you don't have anything else better to do or have some time to kill.

Caught this flick earlier, and it's pretty much as you'd expect it to be -- just a cheesy big-budgeted, explosions heavy, non-sense alien invasion/disaster pic. The entire time watching I felt like I was viewing one of those cheesy disaster movies that populated mainstream cinema in the mid-to-late 90s This is especially the case considering they opted to fill in one of the lead roles with a singer AKA rihanna Why must these big budgets always cast some sort of rapper or singer of some sort

It's not entirely bad though, since the effects are actually pretty good and there's a decent amount of action to keep the pacing going, but you'd have to make it through the horrible character introductions and cheese that dominates the first 45 mins. It's pretty much your paint-by-numbers popcorn flick covering all the standard cliches, from the numerous illogical coincidences, tacky one-liners, and slow-mo walk with a group of people, to the reluctant nerdy scientist-type guy suddenly becoming a hero and room full of peeps clapping and cheering after they've accomplished something great.

If you're into no-brainer storylines with predictability and cliches up the ass, then this be your pic. 6/10
