[Prince of Horror]

So I was on a gore binge today and I happened to find this movie, one that I have been waiting to see for quite so time now.....and luckily, I know what I was getting into before I actually watched it.

I really don't know what my eyes have seen, and neither do I want to know what they saw. It's too excessive for the most part, with the nudity (the close up shots of penis'), and saying the word "fuck" at least a hundred times in a sentence. Then there are the unnecessary scenes, such as that of the rape seen in the beginning. What puzzled me about that was the fact that the character returned the next day as if nothing had happened, even considering the fact that

she had a bowling pin stuck up her ass and was bloody perfusely

Then the characters are all aggravating, and all seem to have a sixth grade vocabulary. I couldn't wait for them to die. One of the guys, the standard jock type I guess, seems to love bashing women, as he says things like "bitch" "whore" and even "cunt" at least ten times in the whole film. IMO that word is unnecessary to use, considering the fact that he is only asking them to get him a beer......


However, there are two positive aspects of the film. The film did manage to capture a retro 80's feel with it's use of colors, music, and cinematography. The gore is nice, I like the wash machine death scene the best though.

So the film fails in the script department, mostly due to some of unnecessary excessive language and pacing, but I think the filmmakers knew what they were doing, because this, IMO, is exploitation at it's finest, but to bad it couldn't be better. 5/10, would have been a 6 or 4, but it's a love or hate film, but it gave me a feeling of "meh"......

The characters were annoying so it was a pleasure to watch the gore filled killings. I liked it.

Still waiting on my PINetration Edition (LE of 69) from Plotdigger. When I first watched it I really didn't like it at all. But the more I watch it I like it. Yes the characters are annoying but at least it had some nice gore anyway. I think I'm starting to open up a little more to all genres of horror, even if they're so-bad-but-good-films.

Unfortunately the PINetration DVD (LE of 69) sold by Plotdigger is now sold out mate. But there are other editions out there you can get! How much did that shop in Melbourne try to sell it for?

The description of everything about this movie is right down my alley. To me you want the people getting killed to be unlikable so you cheer the killer. As for swearing that has never bothered me, over swearing actually is quite funny and cracks me up
