This flick does look promising, if it lives up to the creepy atmosphere of the trailer it should be pretty good. Also, I've heard that outside of Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliff is a talented actor. Many enjoyed his stage performance in Equus. I'd like to see him spread his wings and not be typecast. Also, I'm not a fangirl by any means, but he looks very handsome in Victorian garb.

I must admit he looks a lot better in this movie than in HP. This movie looks decent. The creepy dolls do it for me, I've always hated old dolls.

In the original 1989 film, the actor to played Arthur Kidd (Kipps) had played Radcliffe's father in the Harry Potter films, Adrian Rawlins. How odd is that?...I for one am looking forward to this film, one reason its because its a Hammer Film, do I need explain more, srsly?...If you were a Hammer horror fan you would understand.

Saw this today. Pretty good flick but I must say was quite boring at times. Very good acting, great setting and music, but the story is nothing new and the ending was weak.

DR's acting was better than I expected and that goes for everyone else in this movie. The biggest star was the house IMO. Perfect creepy haunted house and the woman in black was kinda spooky herself. Very dark and dreary film with limited quality scares. Overall an OK watch but nothing I would want to see twice. Will pass on the Blu-Ray for this when it comes out.

Saw it today and it did pull off the creepy dolls and house well. I also heard a few people in the theater actually scream. I didn't dislike it but all of the jump scares got annoying.

watched it last night and I liked it. This movie is all about atmosphere and it delivers in that tenfold. Yes it is a slow movie, but its a haunted house (in this case town I guess) movie. A lot of movies like that are kinda slow. It was the little subtle things in this movie that worked, the noises in the house. The light from his candle making it look like the dolls had pupils and they were following him (loved that!). So if you don't mind a slow but creepy horror flick its well worth it I think. And Daniel Radcliffe did a great job. You think your gonna spend the whole movie going oh theres Harry Potter again, but you don't. I think he proved with this movie he'll be around for awhile after Hogwarts. And people complain about the ending but I liked it.
