Um, you are kidding me right. Both are about equal, Thomas Janes punisher didn't really go to that level of action I (or anyone else) was looking for and warzone took it to that level, but the story and actors were so-so.....

Wow seriously...*looks again*. I am seriously distraught. I can't believe how great of a comeback that was. In the history of comebacks to ever hit the internet I think you're should be ranked number 1. It is so unbelievably good I don't know how I could even retort to such a statement. How long did it take you to think that up, because wow. I literally went in my living room and punched my mother in the face to see if she could comeback with something better. Prince..brava..*claps*. I think you cannot be stopped. You are genuinely perfect in the art of comebacks and no one else better mess with you or else they'll get your treatment.

I think Jane himself did a good job playing a "War Journal" Frank Castle...too bad the rest of the movie around him sucked. The guy in Warzone was fucking terrible, didn't even seem like a punisher movie, just an action movie that happened to have a guy with a skull on his chest, you could have swapped him with Jason Statham and no one would have cared. I'd be down for a kickass brutal new Punisher.

As for black guys playing white characters, I think Sam Jackson was a good choice for Nick Fury, he's a cocky loud mouthed asshole in charge...just like Jackson. I don't think that Elba guy is a good fit for Blaze though, Blaze was never as intense as that guy, more sarcastic and sometimes unsure of himself...I think the black guy from the House show would make a decent black Blaze

The thing with Sam Jackson playing Fury is that in the alternate Marvel "Ultimate" universe, they had already established Fury as black, and not just black but also a Sam Jackson clone, long before Jackson was ever cast to play the part in a movie. Hell, jokes were made in the comics by Fury himself that if a movie was ever made Jackson would play his part.

Personally, I never really liked the Marvel "Ultimate" stuff.. retro-fitting all of the characters and changing shit around was too "DC" for my tastes.. but I digress...

Jane was easily the best part of Punisher and really did a good job with it. Unfortuately the rest of the movie blew.

I can see your point about Elba being too intense but I really just want to see anybody else in the role of Johnny Blaze other than Nic Cage. For some reason Elba just popped into my head because he is in the trailer and I knew he already played a white Marvel character in Thor.

I did not like Cage as GR in the first one and I probably won't like him in this one. I will see it in the hopes that it is a better film then the first, but those hopes are prepared to be shattered. I just want GR to be a dark force without any stupid silly shite... like pissing hellfire or spitting bullets back at an attacker (and both these scenerios appear to be in the trailer so WTF???)
