True, but it seems that there are too many coming out..and they're all the same. Once you have seen one, you've seen them all.

If I hear decent things, I may give it a check, but it didn't peak my interest enough to want to actually go watch it. Like DM said, you've seen one, you've seen them all, especially when they're pretty much beating the demonic possession story to death by releasing film after film about it in a span of only a few years.

Some may say this about Slasher Films. I thought it looked rather promising. Of course I could be wrong, but I'll check it out at some point.

I could say that about slasher films, zombie films, haunting films, bank heist films, erotic thriller films, romatic comedy films, goofball comedy films...

I like how the trailer hints that this just may be a possession epidemic on a wide-scale sort of thing. Don't recall ever seeing a movie like that before.

I agree with this as well....which is why I tend to watch alot of films that turn out to be a hot heap of craP!

This trailer did show a few "creep" moments...you guys all know I give almost anything a chance..I have been shocked and actually got a good flick but most times..crap...I will give this one a look...hopefully it will be one of the better ones...

That's easy as most of these films are jsut pure crap;

"The last exorcism" and "Exorcisumus" were really disappointing for example.

It seems they've tried to put some "action" while the mood is way more important in this kind of stories.

It also doesn't help that they try to go the Paranormal Activity route and say it's documented footage. (I don't know if this movie does that, but it looks like it). They say it's documented footage and then throw CGI in it. I know Fourth Kind was about aliens, but that involved possession as well and that was full of shit.

Walk is right, it's about the mood rather than the "action". I think The Rite did a fine job in that aspect. Not many good Exorcism movies out there though..I can only think of Exorcist and Constantine really.

What makes or break exorcism movies to me at this point is the use of CGI. I think practicals suit this particular type of film much better.
I may still see this if the offer to see it for free comes up but I'm still kind of on the fence.
