The last thing you see (what I've read) was actually created by the distributor, the folks that bought the right to market and show the film. He's already been interviewed about his intent and that last thing you see is apparently their (distributor/marketing) attempt to "save" it somehow. He had no intention for it to follow a traditional 3-act structure with a nice, tidy resolution (that's actually the Hollywood/"Studio" way to craft a film). It's an experimental piece and he ends it in a fairly logical manner when taken in context with its high concept.

It's supposed to be appreciated for the experience the audience has viewing the film. Like a carnival ride I suppose.

Well the ending ruined it big time, it's already lamented in the media as having one of the worst endings ever

I haven't seen this flick yet but I've been hearing about how bad the ending is....I find it hard to believe that it's worse than the ending to The Blair Witch Project...

This might actually be the best comparison, though that's just a guess having seen that and only read about this recent film and its ending. That and knowing any film that radically deviates from the typical Hollywood structure doesn't sit well with wide release audiences.

But "the media" love Twilight and anything related to Twilight, so there'ya go. "The media" isn't exactly a broken watch that might also be right twice a day through no fault or effort of its own but it's about as useful and deserving of high regard.

Whats up biitches ! Haven't been on for a while....So the ending to this sucks huh? A movie is only as good as it ends.. I have free movie passes and I was going to use them on seeing this. Guess I better wait till its on Netflix then

Actually just saw this last night after a recommendation from a certain somebody Anyway, definitely not a good film and a pretty terrible ending. This is just an example as to why I generally try stay away from these recent exorcism movies.
