This is why I like horrors because it pisses on the "line" I myself tend to give everything a watch at least once...the odds of me getting a gem to POS is maybe 1 in 45 but I do like my horror

Killer kids, klowns, dolls, grannies, deformed fucks, rednecks, snakes, rats, slugs, dogs, hampsters, tires, cars, aliens, spiders, turkeys etc i don't give a fuck I will watch it...will it suck a snails ball sack probably but that is the chance I get with watching most anything...so I am prepared for bad movies..ALOT!

Some actually shock me as being a "ok" flick...

by the way not sure about the boner everyone has over 'The Descent' was ok at best...but again it is all based on opinions....

As for the Teen slasher flicks they suck but I watch em for the pure gore CGI(sucks) but sometimes actual SFX sometimes!

Anything where they are trying to be shocking and saying its art... Piss/Shit/Puke etc. Any of that garbage underground shit... when your effects look like shit you take me out of the movie... once out I can't watch it.

the firs half of the descent was boring as hell. Neil Marshall started off well with Dog soldiers then went downhill fast imo.

Technically it is. Isn't a zombie classified as something that's brain dead? And since the 28 days later "zombies" just go off instinct, like the walking dead, then technically they are brainless super pissed off zombies. I always refer to it as a zombie film because that's what it is when it comes down to it. There are so many different characteristics of a zombie nowadays people can get away with a lot more.

28 Days and Weeks later is more of a zombie movie then Survival of the Dead or Land of the Dead. Zombies are supposed to be brainless killing machines, not shooting guns and riding horses.

The funny thing is, I don't really watch horror movies. Unless there is good word of mouth surrounding a film or I'm a fan of the director I usually avoid horror movies. Recently I watched Scream 4 because I am a fan of the series and Tucker and Dale Vs Evil because there was some hype surrounding it but that is about it. The reason I'm a part of horror message boards is because I"m a fan of shock cinema, I'll be watching Human Centipede 2 tonight, but that is only because I'm a fan of the first film and most of the reviews I've read so far describe the movie as sick and disturbing.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good horror film. I just don't watch a lot of it. I grew up loving horror in the 80's. I studied Make Up FX and I loved Fangoria, but as an adult my tastes shifted. Now I really only watch Extreme Films to get my horror needs. Sometimes it is a horror movie, but more often then not it is an arthouse drama, dark comedy or a surreal film. I've been doing the Horror Message Board thing for quite a few years now and I have to admit I feel like an outsider most of the time.
