I find it funny how Battle Royale will not get any kind of U.S. distribution because teenagers played the roles and then this gets made. Kind of hypocritical.

The Virginia Tech tragedy in 2007 put any talks of remaking BR to a permanent halt. But with Hollyweird ya never know.

Saw it tonight. Wasn't bad at all. Def better than Twilight nonsense and was actually pretty tense. Good acting and story, was faithful to the book. Anyone else catch it?

PS - before I read the book I was bringing up the Battle Royale relation to all my friends, but after reading and watching both novels/movies, there's enough differences to set them apart.

That's what I've heard. That BR was mostly centered around action while HG was more about the drama
