Best and Worst of 2011

Was looking at these the other day at my local, need to sees for me. Should check and see if they are available at my 'good' Blockbusters.

I'd only suggest Hobo if someone likes Troma. Even though it isn't a Troma movie.

On the whole is I Saw the Devil horror or not I'd count it. It had a very horror feel and it was just plain awesome.

Middle Ground: Red State

Worst: Scream 4 (so disappointing.) Kidnapped.

Best this year was Attack The Block (one of the best in a very long time). I also really liked Tucker and Dale versus Evil. That one came out December of last year techinically, but pretty much noone saw it in 2010 unless they downloaded it. I liked Scream 4 myself, cheesy goodness. Troll Hunter was entertaining except for that cliche "found footage" ending thats getting really old really fast. Insidious was great but had a stupid ending. Hobo With a Shotgun was great. Just watched I Saw The Devil a few days ago. Good Flick.

I think that's why i didn't like it. I'm not a huge fan of troma and this seemed to be TOO troma

weird. I dont like Troma at all but I liked hobo with a shotgun, but now that you mention it I guess I can see it.

Everyone I watched it with loves Troma or at least Toxie. So that is probably why we were all super into it.

I realized I haven't watched many movies from 2011. I could name 2010, I'm a bit behind. So for 2011 the worst would have to be Priest and the best X-men: First Class. I can't think of any horror movies that stick out as the best or worst. The Rite was pretty boring, but not the worst I've seen.

'I Saw The Devil' is brilliant Korean Horror/Thriller, loved this one. Have to watch it again soon

Haven't seen them yet, but how about "don't be afraid of the dark" and FD5.

If FD 5 was anything like 3 and 4 then it would be on my list for worst too.

Best:

Conan The Barbarian: I actually really liked this one.
The Thing: While it doesn't hold a candle to John Carpenter's film, I thought it was a solid film with good performances all around.
A Serbian Film: I know this film was released a while back, but it hit the States in September this year, so I'm counting it here. I have to give these fellas credit for having the balls to make a movie like this. It's slickly produced with some really good acting and extremely intense scenes.

Worst:
Hellraiser: Revelations. Sorry, no competition here. This is easily the shittiest movie I've seen this year. This movie should've been called, Shitraiser, since that's all it seemed to raise. Doug Bradley was wise to pass on this............film, if you can call it that. Horrendous acting, except for Stephen Brand, Pinhead was a joke and the guy who played him....well...the less said, the better.

Agreed on Don't be Afraid of the Dark being the worst. Totally forgot I saw that piece of shit in theaters.

Definitely agree with those titles there. Only wish there was some cool packaging with these films, whether domestic or import.
