Marcus Nispel attached to Hack/Slash

I know a lot of horror fans hate remakes (or atleast pretend to while they're buying a ticket anyway) so they might role their eyes at this news but TCM and F13 remake helmer Marcus Nispel is attached to Hack/Slash. Personally I like this news I think he'll do the movie (and hopefully franchise) well. But I'm not getting my hopes up to much cuz he isn't the first person to be attached to Hack/Slash. I just wanna see this movie get made. I really love the comics. And for those that don't know Hack/Slash is about a girl named Cassie Hack that goes around with her big mutant friend Vlad fighting Slashers along the lines of Jason and Freddy.


And crap I just realized I put this in non-horror. My Bad

Just gotta hope the script is decent before it gets to him. He's a purely commercial, visual director, that hasn't cultivated a particular taste or relationship with other storytellers to be able to craft movies that are more than just slick (like Ridley + Tony Scott and David Fincher). He came up under Bay's wing with regards to features.

Before doing reboots and remakes Nispel was pretty much the #1 most workingest, most successful commercial director in the world. Until he went to war with SAG and moved to South Africa. He was famous for having more than 365 shooting days in a year, possible by being double booked (or more) and hitting multiple sets for multiple projects in a single day.
