I just started the book. Its pretty good actually. Dunno how the movie turns out, they could very well "twilight" the shit out of it. but the book isn't like that. R is a zombie. He only calls himself R cuz thats the only part of his name he can remember. His best friends name is M (played by Rob Cordry in the movie). And they shamble around aimlessly like most zombies do. But R can think for himself. He can't do much cuz he's in a zombies body. Can't talk very well. Can't drive cuz he can't remember how. Its kinda funny when the zombies get together for a "hunting party" to go find some humans to eat. Theres a lot of flesh and brain chompin in this one. And zombies love brains because everytime they eat a persons brains they get flashes of memories. Sort of like the vampires in underworld when they bite someone.

R kills a guy and eats his brain and his brain has flashes of his relationship with this girl named Julie. He ends up protecting Julie instead of eating her. And the old zombies he calls "Boneys" cuz they're so old and decade and they even have a lil church like thing where they stand there n moan all day like they're preaching. The stories actually pretty funny at times. Ive already noticed one difference. R in the book is wearin slacks and a dress shirt and a tie. In the movie accordin to those pictures he's just some kid in a t-shirt n hoodie. But in the book what he's wearin is kind of important cuz the zombies kinda make fun of each other guessing what they used to be in real life. Cuz they can't remember. His buddy M is a horndog. He gets excited when he finds porn and R mentions how M gets naked with girl zombies and they stare at each other (cuz thats all they can really do). Theres one pretty good seen where R and M are in the bathroom passin a brain like 2 guys passin a joint. M manages to say "good.....shit...." he has a pretty good vocab for a zombie. So yeah, the book isn't Twilight at all. But thats not sayin they won't ruin the movie. But John Malkovich (sp) is in it. thats always a plus.
