Just finished this...um...it was decent I guess.
Very slow but with good acting and a worthwhile story. It is good but not something I would watch again. There is quite a bit left up to the viewer but some of it is obviously issues they couldn't explain themselves. And the musical score is so fucking aggravating! I was hoping for moments of silence. Something to be picky about for sure but the constant drone of the background music couldn't be more annoying.
A bunch of hooey between spoiler tags:
Spoiler...Nobody ever once saw this thing dragging people towards the tunnel?
If it can come out anywhere, why the focus on the tunnel?
Trade? Trade what? If that is supposed to work, why didn't it?
Why does "it" seem so picky with who it takes?
Is it supposed to be presumed that the cops took the dog before "it" could get it so "it" killed that guy? If so, the pregnant chick never left anything for it and her husband lived for 7 years! Why?
I understand there are fans of low budget movies and praise them to hell even if they are merely halfway decent, this is a perfect example of that. Good movie yes (although debatable).

I liked it too and I normally don't like low budget movies due to bad writing, bad camera, bad everything.
I thought this one was pretty unique and had a creepy vibe, it's not fresh enough in my mind to really defend it any more than that.
I certainly don't fault you for not liking it as much though.

I usually like low budget creep-fests. Perfect example is The Pact, that movie is great. This one though...other than the tiny bit I enjoyed of it was
I also think they pushed the "leave it up to the viewer" angle of this way to wide open. For me it is blatant laziness or simply they truly had no way to explain it. I think the latter since it would have blown huge plot holes into the script. Especially the questions in my spoiler tag.

I loved when you saw something spooky, there wasn't any music build up. Leaving it completely unexpected
