[Rec] Genesis

Just finished it -- liked it, though die-hard fans of the [Rec] series may find it a bit disappointing. For one, they drop the POV handheld camera aspect after the first 20 minutes and the rest is all shot traditionally. I personally liked it that way since I was already starting to get a headache from all the shaky camera nonsense early on. Sadly, going the traditional route does hinder it's scare factor quite a bit. In the end, it was essentially just another tale told within the [Rec] universe and didn't necessarily progress the overall story about the infection/possession in any way except for really minor elements. This is especially true since it takes place around the same time as the events as the previous flick. Either way, I enjoyed it. Should have a more detailed review posted soon

Supposedly it hits On Demand on the 3rd of August. So, I'm going to wait until the fourth or fifth to download the torrent. Can't wait as the makers truly know what they are doing.

I hope this is not another attempt to ruin a perfectly good series, will keep my judgements until I see it. Hopefully soon.

i did like this movie, but the first 2 had better gore and deaths tbh
