Wow, am I the only one who see's this movie as a blatent cash-in and not even close to the same level of quality as Insidious or The Conjuring? This is a rare occasion where my thoughts on a movie echo the majority of what is on RT (38%). But the user ratings on Metacritic are a 7.8 which puts it above Insidious, The Conjuring, and also Sinister. IMDB has it at a lower rating than The Conjuring but higher than Insidious.

I believe you are... I liked it better then then conjuring, and though it was scarier.... but put it under insidious 1 in both categories

No. It's a cliffhanger. It did what it was supposed to do. Age old cinema/TV tactic. Deal.

Movie was okay. I actually liked it better than the first, which I didn't like because I thought it borrowed too heavily from Poltergeist. But with the sequel and expanding mythology, I can actually appreciate the first one more now.

i really loved this movie, creep atmosphere, great acting, the ending was great and i'm hoping they turn this into a franchise, i also hope James Wan directs Insidious 3 as well

i quite enjoyed it. it was jumpy enough to keep me on the edge of my seat and i liked the way they tied in the first film as well. the ending i quite liked leaving us in suspense for the inevitable 3rd part but what i liked what it seems to hint we are done with the original family now which is good as had a third centered around them again it would be too unbelievable.

I wasn't as disappointed as most people...but the 1st one is still better.....of course

I liked it. The ties to the 1st one (which was the better of the 2) were well done. If part 3 followed the old lady's spirit and her team, that could be pretty cool. But part 3 with the same family will not work.

I think Lin Shaye's ghost so the red demon from the first one at the end.. and it will be them trying to get it out of the new familys house
