Candyman

I never liked any of the Candyman movies... thought they were all pretty lame.

I remember seeing Tony Todd on Psych when he was a guest star, and I kept expecting there to be a nod to Candyman since the show is chock full of references to horror movies, but to my surprise there wasn't one. Then later I watched the episode with the cast and crew commentary and they said they wanted to do a nod to Candyman and asked Tony if he would be alright with it and he said "are you going to pay me Candyman money?" I can understand it though, probably doesn't want to be forever tied to that role.

But I really enjoyed Candyman, and I always have trouble turning off my bathroom light after I've recently watched it (even if I don't say his name).

I know I'm in a tiny tiny minority on this, and it won't make sense to some folks, but I like Candyman in spite of Tony Todd. I used to just think it was because I grew up in South Texas where every elementary school kid hears stories of Bloody Mary. I'd watch it almost any time I would be flipping channels and came across it and couldn't figure out why. Turns out I actually like the movie, I just don't like him. Weird.

I might have seen The Rock first, where he made Nic Cage actually look sorta decent in that movie, lol.
