The Evil Dead Remake

Any movie that boasts "the most terrifying of all time" before it is even released is obviously going to fail..

I've been watching horror films for over 30 years so I'm really jaded. Nothing is going to terrify me, so I just watch for artistic and entertainment value.. I really liked this film. There were flaws but that's sine. A good movie overrall

I received the theater poster from my daughter's boyfriend (white with text) and am curious if anyone knows anything about posters- this is printed on both sides- guess I haven't noticed this before. Does this make it "special"?

On the scariest film ever thing- im a bit of a wimp and although i love my horror i get scared easily yet whilst i found it intense in parts (more with the gore) i watched it myself in the cinema and wasnt particularly scared. i think i jumped at one bit and that was it. still liked it though

who ever did the teasers for this and TCM3D needs to be paid more. This along with TCM3D were for me were my most anticipated films for a very long time. Im not saying Evil Dead was horrible (TCM was though) but Evil Dead just didnt deliver like i was hopinh for. Scary ??? meh .... Gory as fuck though. 6/10

just watched it again now that's its hit DVD and On Demand. Just as good this time, slightly better now that I could just sit back and enjoy it. Great movie.

I just watched this for the 1st time on Bluray last night. It was great. Definitely not as good as the original, but I had a blast watching it!

I just watched it, I liked it but I couldn't help but feel like it missed a strong lead character such as Ash.

while there were things missing from it, strong lead, crawling camera work(wasn't nearly as good) etc it still was a fuckin BLAST!

I was blown away by how much I enjoyed this flick and I am, as you all know, not one for remakes. Holy fuck did I enjoy the blood in this one though. I will be watching this one again real soon. I really did enjoy the darker approach they took to it and kind of let the comedy sit on the wayside. This is a must see twice or more flick for me GROOVY!

Yeah, I felt that way too. It's kind of good thing, but also kind of a bad thing.
Although, for me, the movie didn't suffer from it that much. I still enjoyed it.

I hope they come out with an uncut version of this film. I remember seeing in the trailer the, "we're gonna get you" scene and the chainsaw scene. Where were those scenes in the movie? I guess they were cut.

I figured out what killed this movie for me. Eric should have been the lead and only survivor. Jane Levy killed this movie for me. Really, she didn't do shit, wasn't entertaining, yet all of a sudden, she's the survivor.

I'm going to be completely honest right now. When I was a kid the original evil dead scared the piss out of me like you wouldn't believe. I was terrirfied completely and thoroughly terrified. I'm having a hard time sitting through this cuz i'm just as on edge as I was when I was just a kid. Demons freak the fuck out of me. NO WANT! NO WANT!
