I was looking through the free books on my Kindle and downloaded A Very Good Man (Dead End) by P.S. Power, it's about a zombie apocalypse. So far so good. There is a second book too.

Bought Battle Royale the novel and if you think the movie is intense I highly recommend reading this.

I loved both Battle Royale and Brave New World.

Just purchased all three Abarat ebooks by Clive Barker to read on vacation. I've read the first two ages ago, but I don't want to ruin any of the pages of those beautiful books by reading them again.

P.S. I'm very sorry about the crappy signature. I was wanting to change it but I couldn't think of anything fast. For punishment I have chained my self to the bed. I hope this will do.

The Weird - A compendium of strange and dark stories

It's pretty damn thick too. It's got 110 stories in it ranging from 1908-2010, and a wide range of authors such as George R. R. Martin, Shirley Jackson, Ray Bradbury, H.P. Lovecraft, and about 100 others. A few of them I've read at some point, but most of them I've never heard of before. Looks pretty interesting though.

    Fear lives in Stillwater.

Eleven-year-old Mark Davis wasn’t happy at all that his family was moving to the small town of Stillwater. He worried that he’d miss his old friends and not be able to make new ones. But he’ll soon learn that was the least of his worries. Something deadly is waiting to welcome him to town.

Enjoy this chilling, short companion piece to Ronald Malfi’s new novel to get just a hint of the terrors that await you—and the residents of Stillwater—in The Narrows!

For those that don't know of Ronald Malfi this is a great way to get aquainted with him. His first main horror novel "Snow" is an outstanding book. I was hooked with his story and style from the first few pages and plowed through that book in two days. Needless to say the book is fantastic.

He has a new novel coming out in September called "The Narrows". This story here is free on Kindle and is an accompanying tale to that book. It is only 18 pages but it is meant to get you interested in the main novel, which I'm sure it will.

There is a post I believe earlier (At least 2 years ago) in this thread where I have said to keep an eye on this guy as he will be a great writer in the horror genre.

**No, I am not spamming him and I do not know him. This is just a heads up for fans of horror-fiction to experience a great up-and-coming writer in the genre.

I was debating on getting The Walking Dead graphic novels, but wasn't sure about the cost. I ended up getting The Walking Dead Compendium that has the first 8 volumes, which is basically issues #1-48. The price was a bit steep at $65, but still would be overall the cheapest way to get them without piecemealing individual issues together. It's very thick, and feels like it weighs 5 pounds.
