They have some good names tied in with this...don't believe it is a sequel Fright...just the same people that did REPO are behind this one as well....

It was thought to be a sequel when it was first announced since not many people knew what it was about. It's apparently a 55-minute short film that will tie in to the movie, which I assume will be made down the road, not really sure

You would def know more than me about it...just looked into it briefly and did see the connection....either way sequel or not still looks good...I liked REPO! and anything carnival is great with me

It's touring around the US in various cities, with the cheapest ticket being $20 bucks.

Unless you're a huge fan of Repo and want to see the extra scenes, you're essentially just paying for the whole experience at the event, because if you're just going to see this 55-minute short then $20 bucks is way too much, in my opinion.

It sounds like it's the first 55min in what could be a series. I guess response to this initial run will have something to do with whether or not future installments are created. Shorts themselves are money syncs, not makers, but this roadshow idea sounds like they're going against conventional wisdom and building up interest for a wider DVD release than they could otherwise expect, not to mention prove to investors that more installments would be worth making.

I dig it. I hope their experiment works and look forward to seeing it go down. $20 for a live show and everything else in addition to the short really isn't bad for a night's entertainment that's out of the ordinary. People are paying that to see fake 3D movies that they've seen 100X before, not to mention paying twice as much for movies sometimes not worth sitting through "flat". It's downright cheap compared to going to a concert, or certain clubs when you count cover charge, drink minimum, parking, etc. not to mention pain-in-the-ass factor.
