Resident Evil - Retribution

I didn't see it in 3D but liked that last one the most, whatever its name was. The one with the big, mutant, pseudo-"Pyramid Head" mutant in the bathroom. That one delivered IMO. It's not like the game had some well thought out mythos to be respected FFS. I could have done without the silly Matrix fight in the end but, meh. The one I saw that most resembled the game, where Alice was a supporting character and it followed Jill mostly, I think, the second one. That one is the only one I couldn't be paid to watch again. I'll give this one a chance, if nothing else on cable.

I watched the trailer for this. Undecided if I will see the movie. I love the games and was so excited to hear about the first movie. I sat in the theater wondering what it was I was watching. For someone who never played the games , it was probably a great movie. What was with the elevator scene? I was waiting to see her head roll. Did it...NO . The best part of that movie was Spence getting fed on by the Licker. It was however the better of all the movies.

I love Mila, but who the hell is Alice ? Next movie....Nemesis should have been after Jill , not Alice . Where is the movie about Leon trapped in the Police Station while Claire was trying to find her brother Chris? Not to forget she had a little girl to look after and had to fight the mutated doc.Those two were featured in a CGI movies , which I liked well enough , but.

These movies should have followed the games , but they didn't. You saw parts of the mansion for a few minutes. What an awesome place for a movie , with all it's secret rooms and tunnels . Come on people, if you really love these games , then stop saying these movies are good , because they aren't. They don't live up to this franchise at all , except for a minute here and there. So disappointing.

Don't like where it's going, I mean what the hell is going on??? Saw Ada and Leon though. I'll still end up watching this, buty I don't have high hopes of this film being great.

these movies are total bullshit. Any fan of the games should be a appalled by this crap. I hope to see a reboot sometime in my life before I die. Something thats more faithful and actually looks like Resident Evil. By part 3 the world was destroyed, and somehow it kept going and they're doing the end of the world crap again lol. Talk about having no idea where to go with it.

The problem is Afterlife cost 60 mil to make and it grossed a total of 296 mil worldwide. With numbers like that it gives them more incentive to keep pushing out shit movies. It's quite obvious they have milked this franchise dry 2 sequels ago but they can obviously throw together anything they want at this point and it will make money.

I like how at the end of Extinction, the little computer girl said they were making a cure, but then Milla found all the clones, and they forgot about that story thread, which you know could've saved the world... eh, gotta make more sequels!!!!

The subtitles are hilarious... isn't "Apocalypse" and "Extinction" kinda pointing to the same thing? I'm pretty sure all those cool-sounding subtitles are interchangeable and pointless.

Should I go see this movie now? Or, just hold off for a few weeks till it is at the $2.50 movie house? I do like them, but, they are just going over the same stuff over and over. Now, her dead friends come back to fight her. It even looks like one of her clones she is fighting with also. I do not know, is it really fun as a woman to just see girl vs girl fights?
