MEH movie. I'm actually rather surprised at all the praise it has received. I personally didn't find it all that good. I'm all for ambiguous films, but I just wasn't into this one much, specifically cuz there's just a lot of silly unnecessary stuff early on to purposely throw the audience off or confuse us until the big reveal towards the end and it just seemed like it could've been done better.

And with the exception of one scene towards the end, I didn't find ANY of it the least bit creepy. In fact, I found a lot of the scenes unintentionally funny, like the random sounds of a horse or her wall humping Either way, too slow and overhyped, in my opinion. I'm not sure if I'll review it for the site, but if I do, it'll probably get a 5/10 from me.

Best scene in the film. Incredibly well shot, moody, and definitely creepy. Just too bad the rest of the flick wasn't the same

I guess it's just not my type of "horror"

Just because you dislike a movie others like is no reason to get blasted. You backed up your opinion with valid reasons as to why you didn't like it. When people don't like movies I do (or vice-versa) I simply shrug my shoulders and move on because I simply don't give a shit. Who cares!? To many off the wall and outlandish posts expressing one's opinions are becoming the "norm" here. Totally opposite of how Fright replied.

I thought the movie was excellent. You don't. How fucking dare you!

Agreed, but still I'm rather surprised by all the praise, normally I agree somewhat with the majority, but not in this case

Maybe by the time you had watched it, it was a tad bit overhyped? That does make a difference.

I thought this was fairly good. It was pretty creepy in places, plus the part of Molly was ably played by Gretchen Lodge. It's interesting seeing her transformation as the film progresses. A little rough around the edges maybe, and far from amazing, but I still managed to get a lot out of this one. I'm not sure how it will hold up on a repeat viewing, but I'd give it a 7/10.

Bashing is for idiots who think their opinion is end all, be all. The forum was filled with such behavior years ago which put me into lurk mode for many years. It is resurfacing...

Extremely well done and effective horror film. I can understand the hype behind it but can also understand why one might not like it. I need to buy it sometime.

Well here's the deal. I watched this for a second time and liked it even more. Even though I already saw it the film kept me uneasy from beginning to end the second time around, which isn't easy to do.

Being a writer, curiosity got the better of me and I started to look some things up that validate what took place in this flick wasn't in her head. I will post the rest behind spoiler tags.

    Spoiler...
The figure she see's outside at the end is Orobas, a demon with the head of a horse and the body of a man.

In demonology, Orobas is a powerful Great Prince of Hell, having twenty legions of demons under his control.
He supposedly gives true answers of things past, present and to come, divinity, and the creation of the world; he also confers dignities and prelacies, and the favour of friends and foes. Orobas is faithful to the conjurer, does not permit that any spirit tempts him, and never deceives anyone.

He is depicted as a horse that changes into a man under the conjurer's request.

All this makes perfect sense when you factor in all the unknowns we have while watching the film, especially the noises and why a horse?

For a movie to actually make me look things up to validate the story is credibility to good the film really is. Fantastic flick IMO with great atmosphere and just enough held back to make me want to know more.

I loved it personally. Only watched it once, but also gave me a really tense feeling throughout

    Spoiler...
That ending when she goes outside to see the Demon, now known as Orobas thanks to Mac, literally freaked me out for a few nights going to sleep. That's usually impossible for me, but they did it extremely well.
