Has anyone here checked this movie out? I know over at another forum that made some poor moves lately seems pretty popular. I only ask because I saw it today for a decent price and the promise seems interesting. Plus being an 80s flick seems to be a winner.

If you watch the old VHS version, it is so dark that you can't see a single solitary goddamn thing that's going on... However, there is a DVD version out there that's been brightened up a lot and it's far more watchable.

Granted, all the light in the world can only elevate this flick so much, because even when you can see things more clearly, it's still a pretty retarded flick.

One thing I noticed.. If you take a look at that characters, it appears that whoever wrote/cast the movie must have been watching Scooby Doo at the time, because the characters all pretty much the Scooby Doo gang...

I was actually wondering about this movie too. The trailer for it was pretty unique anyway (compared to trailers for other movies released at the time). I'll still have to check it out even if it sucks. And having a dark version of a scooby doo mystery actually sounds like a kickass idea.

I might check this out. I saw the creepy cover at my local video store a long time ago and had been wanting to check it out. Even though the saying's true where you should never be fooled by the cover at expense to a shitty flick. But if it's a cheeseball horror flick with a limited budget I'll give it a shot.

I agree with your sentiments, plus reading the back of the box it sounds alright. But that is why I asked here due to a deep down feeling that the smell od POSness was in the air.

The way I see, it was worth watching the brightened up DVD version once... for free... It was a bad movie, but in the end I didn't feel like I'd wasted a chunk of my life watching it. I probably would've felt otherwise had I actually paid money to see it.

My advice: find a download of it.

I liked it not a great horror by any means but its a solid feature when you're bored and its in the wee hours of the night not so much for scares just creates a more uncomfortable atmosphere
