"the horror show" movie review

let me first start off by saying this is thee worst horror movie EVER!!

it starts off upstairs in a house. the father gets his gun bc he thinks theres a intruder in the house. the door is wide open. i dont know if its a flash back but him and his partner look for the serial killer 'max' in a ware house of some sort,blah blah blah black dude dies and the father gets a cleaver in the chest. the father wakes up. he has a scar running down his chest. mas gets electrocuted,he plays dead. hes apparently immune to being electrocuted. 1 min later he dies. say hes going after the fathers family. the father sees shit throughout the movie, like weird poltergeist shit.blah blah blah. i really wanted to say how terrible this movie was. they are copying A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 1-5. MAINLY THE FIRST FILM.

i feel this film would of been better as a spoof. when the daughter went down the basement and saw that the furnace door was open i thought she was going to go behind it and pick up a cord that wasnt plugged in lol. omg the wire to the furnace is not plugged in how is it still going omg! this film mocks every good and decent film out there and also horror fans. i feel that we should boycott this terrible movie. THE STUFF was also pretty bad. killer marshmallow goo from underground?? come on.

Love this movie, esp. the dinner scene. I've been known to have obscure movie tastes.

I didn't think Horror Show was that bad. Pretty enjoyable for a B horror movie, really. Obviously it's a ripoff of A Nightmare on Elm Street, but it's not the only movie to have been one. And the cast was pretty memorable. I mean, who can forget Brion James' evil little laugh?

I once rented The Horror Show, way back in 1990. I vaguely remembered thinking it was okay, but my standards were a lot lower back then. Shortly after, i rented Wes Craven's Shocker, which i thought played like a better version of The Horror Show - and Shocker wasn't even that good.

I remember a scene when Max was in the electric chair & after getting a jolt of electricity he says "that just gave me a hard-on". That was hilarious.

The Horror Show (AKA House 3) is a great "turn your brain off popcorn horror flick." The killer returning from the grave to haunt folks from beyond the electric outlet has been done a number of times (Shocker, Prison, Pulse (1988)) and is done in this one with standard horror setups and your typical goofy 80s script.

The movie is no oscar nominee, but it is far from "terrible." I've seen MUCH MUCH worse.

As for The Stuff, that movie rocks. Michael Moriarty + killer yogurt = awesomness
