Also, I thought of another possible addition to the list, The Lost Boys? I watched the original earlier and forgot what a great movie it is. I never saw either sequel but from what I heard they don't come close to the original.

On the subject of best segment in a Horror anthology series, while I need to re-visit the whole of Tales From The Darkside, I feel Halloween Candy is likely always going to be my favorite episode. I still love watching it and always watch it every October.

Some series have good parts like F13, ANOES, Puppet Master and Evil Dead. I also like Maniac Cop 3, I acually prefer the two MC sequels to the original, which I like, I just find 2 and 3 more entertaining.

With the Evil Dead remake out now it should be interesting to see if it makes anyone's list for their favorite of the series.

On the subject of best segment in an anthology series, having recently gone through both of the first two Tales From The Cryptkeeper seasons, my favorites in both respectively are While The Cat's Away and The Haunted Mine. It's actually a pretty cool cartoon believe it or not. Still want to know who had the idea to take a gruesome adult series like TFTC and make it into a kids' cartoon

The Alien series is about Ellen Ripley. Prometheus and the AVP movies are spin-offs (despite trying to fit into continuity, which they don't anyway).

Well I kinda count the AVPs and Prometheus as being part of both Alien and Predator, same with FVJ being part of Friday The 13th and ANOES. Yes they're spin-offs but they're still part of the series.

FvJ is not a spin-off, but a sequel to both ANOES and Ft13th series.. Robert Englund IS Freddy and his return made this a sequel.

The Alien series is about the character of Ellen Ripley and her battles with the creatures. It's like having a Dracula movie without Dracula. Or an Evil Dead movie without Ash. The Alien series without Ripley doesn't count.

The AVP films do feature the title creatures in them though, so I think that's grounds enough for them to count. Maybe they could be listed seperately?

I love Predator 2. I couldn't put it above the first, but I'll always defend it. It's damn good, and in my opinion, much, much better than Predators.

Wrong Turn 2 is definitely the best of that series.

Aliens is my favorite Alien film although of course, Alien is right up there with it, but I just love Aliens. The colonial marines... come on. Hicks and Hudson? Vasquez and Drake? Apone? Alien is more of a horror film though.

Halloween II (1981) is my pick for that series. Can't believe someone else actually picked that too.

I love Psycho II more than the original.

Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI.

Saw I and II are about equal to me.

    Godzilla 1985/1984.

Day of the Dead (1985). I love Bub.

The first Scream of course and probably the original Child's Play as well.

I never got the hate for Predator 2. I always enjoy watching it just as much as the original and I agree it's leaps better than Predators, which just tried to copy the original movie. The new Predator weapons, the urban environment and plethora of entertaining setpieces like the subway and the slaughterhouse make it highly enjoyable, and the particular Predator in it has always been my favorite of the series.

Friday The 13th - PART III. Dana Kimmell as Chris is my all time favorite scream queen.

A Nightmare On Elm Street - THE DREAM MASTER. This one was pretty cool. But I do love 'New Nightmare' as well.

Halloween - Part 2 of the original. So many cool deaths. And hearing Dr. Loomis shout 'I SHOT HIM 6 TIMMMMMES.' Over and over again is pretty amazing.

Saw - Definitely Part 2. After they all started to get too confusing this one was fun.

Screame - 3. It's still scary and really does some funny and interesting things with the whole meta- before it went too meta with 4. And Parker Posey? COMMME ON.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Original. I still feel pain everything I see Leatherface throw that girl on the hook.

Child's Play - Part 2. The original works well on the mystery but this goes hard with Chucky, and the puppetry was just amazing. I want just one of the boxes of the Good Guy Doll from the Factory at the end, is that too much to ask for??

Final Destination - 2. Still the best opening scene of any of the FD films.

Alien - ALIENS. Ripley? Fighter suit? Nothing more needs to be said. Fuck Newt tho.

Friday The 13th- Part 4...for the most part likeable characters and Savini gore on a bigger budget

A Nightmare On Elm Street- the original....Craven at his best

Halloween- the original....I have seen it more times then I can count and it always excites me

Saw- Part 2...the first one has the best ending but 2 is just a better film.

Scream-not a big fan but the first one is pretty good for a Halloween rip-off

Phantasm-can't decide between the 1st and the 2nd. The 1st film is fleshed out child's nightmare and the 2nd is an awesome road movie. Can't lose with either film.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre- the original...none of the sequels or the re-make can match the madness of Hooper's film

Child's Play- Bride of Chucky....just plain fun, John Ritter as a prick is worth it alone.

Hellraiser- the original before Pinhead was PINHEAD.

    Puppet Master- none, shit films

Final Destination-the 2nd, the car crash is more then worth it.

Alien-Aliens, love the original, but Cameron's film is near perfect

Predator-Predators...I always thought that the original film took to much time to provide any payoff, Predators was a better paced and more entertaining film.

Romero's Living Dead-Night of the Living Dead...Dawn of the Dead is my favorite, but NOTLD changed horror films forever.
