I'm glad we could share this movie together. <3
In the era in which we live today in film, full of sequels, remakes and adaptations of other existing materials, it is a pleasure to come across a film like Maniac.
It is a sort of eighties film made with current media, in the way it portrays the urban world and the use of music, remembering a lot to "Drive". "Maniac" lives by itself in all shapes and works as an exercise of style and genre.
It is an excellent film in which brutality is served, in a wild way, direct and create the feeling that the horror is much closer to us, what we see is what our friend Frank sees, played brilliantly by Elijah Wood. His rare appearances, through mirrors and reflections are chilling. I loved it.. and I will watch it again in these days.
