Storyline:

When their Mother dies, Annie and her Sister Nichole are left to pick up the pieces. Annie doesn't want anything to do with the funeral because her Mother was an abusive bitch, but out of love for her Sister, she agrees to come home and give her a hand with the arrangements. When she arrives at her Mother's house the next day, Nichole is gone.





This was a pretty good movie. This reminded me of the creepy vibe in Absentia and Insidious. This is a ghost movie. The wronged spirit comes out to annoy and lead the main character to something evil in the house so it can rest peacefully in the afterlife.

There are some creepy moments, dark closets and long hallways. I liked the camera shots aswell. It added to this unsettling feeling as you watched the film. It had a spot or two that dragged abit but the main character played by Caity Lotz carried her dread amazingly. Keep an eye out for an excellent performance by a blind psychic.



Yeah, you should give this a watch. 7/10 rating.

Saw this for the third time last night. Other than The Cabin In the Woods this is the best horror film of 2012 for me. It is like Absentia and Insidious. Much better than Absentia, somewhat better than Insidious.

Caught this last night, I agree with the other posters, thought this was very good although it doesn't really offer anything new but from me that isn't a complaint. It scared the shit out of my wife which always helps to enhance my enjoyment of movies too I also found it creepy and it had a few good scares throughout.

I'd give it a solid 7/10.

What exactly was the Pact? An agreement from the mother to hide her brother, the Judas killer? Was the Judas killer in fact alive? If so, what's up with the scene where the camera is on the floor and shows the figure walking across the living room but you can see no one in the room viewed outside the camera?

I don't know what to think as Casper van Dien is not know to be part of good movies (2 exceptions with Sleepy hollow and Starship troopers of corpse)

That was my feeling as well but he had a smaller role in the film and was rather unrecognizable, he did a good enough job.

Just caught this flick as well and also really liked it. Surprisingly very creepy and loved the atmosphere. The story wasn't all that great, but it was interesting none-the-less. I'll have a more detailed review posted soon. As for your questions:

The Pact is left up to interpretation, it could be the fact that the uncle was the killer and the mom knew and kept it a secret, or it could be that Judas was also her Father, which is indicated by the eye color. Judas was definitely alive. That scene in question could be a metaphor of how he's able to maneuver through the house without really being seen. Much like a lot of the film, it's left to interpretation.

The only issue I really had with the film was...

If the ghost of Jennifer Glick was able to throw around the lead female, why wasn't she able to do something about Judas being alive? Is there some sort of unwritten rule that a ghost can't kill it's murderer or something? That's really the only issue I had with the flick's story.

Nar, that type of thing doesn't bother me to be honest. I may have an idea of what may happen but there is still the visual feast to be had.
