Scary Movie 4 must have failed too... right? Wow, I just looked it up. The last one made $90 million just in the US on a budget of $45 million. How is that possible?

The first two weren't bad, dumb fun in my opinion... but I can definitely understand the hate.

After the first two movies, these really started heading down hill. I probably won't watch this until it's free on cable.

The first one was dumb fun. I only remember laughing once in Scary Movie 2 although I did laugh a lot then. I rented the third, and it was so awful. That was enough for me.

It really is pathetic they don't even try, but as long as it's making a profit, I'm sure they don't give a shit.

Yeah, as long as these movies continue to make money they're going to continue to pump them out. People seem to enjoy watching spoofs. I mean look at the ones they've thrown at us over the years: Scary Movie 1-4, Dance Flick, Superhero Movie, Disaster Movie, Not Another Teen Movie, etc... and they've all been success'.

Only God knows why somebody would pay 10 plus dollars to see a parody movie they know is going to be bad...but they do.

Indeed. Hoping this one bombs and then Hollywood will know that horrible spoofs just don't work anymore... even though they probably should've learned that by now. 4 came out almost 7 years ago, I highly doubt the same box office will turn out for this one.

Well, they have this new spoof called A Haunted House coming out. It's done by the Wayans Bros., so I have a little faith in that. It actually looks pretty damn funny.

This and A Haunted House look almost exactly the same, I wonder how many times the studies will milk spoofing the PA films now. LAME. I'd much rather see a zombie or a slasher spoof than this shit.

Nah, A Haunted House is actually spoofing terrible movies. Which makes it even funnier. It looks like they're actually making fun of a scene that needs to be made fun of due to the lack of creativity.

Once scene that pops in my head is the scene in PA4 where a woman is being slung around in the background while the camera is focused on a close up of a guy with headphones on (who can't seem to hear anything that's going on behind him). If you were to see that scene and then watch A Haunted House, you would actually realize how easily that scene can - and should - be made fun of.

PA4 was such a pain to sit through, one of the worst films of the year. I barely even remember any of the crap that happens in it.

I just came in here to say that these movies are fucking stupid and have always been terrible. They're responsible for ruining the "spoof" genre comedy films like Airplane! and Naked Gun. After Scary Movie a never ending stream of putrid shit came pouring out of Hollywood every year each one worse than the last.
